The European Organization for Nuclear Research, known for its acronym CERN (Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire) represents a symbol of contemporary physics and science in general.
CERN has six decades of discoveries. The European organization, located at the border of Switzerland and France, near Geneva, was founded in 1954.
One of the founding countries was SFRJ. After decades of its absence, Serbia joined the CERN family, once again, three years ago.
