CPN and the Mathematical Institute of Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, in cooperation with numerous partners, presented yet another ”May, Month of Mathematics”.
The third ”May, Month of Mathematics” (M3) has officially been opened on May 14, at its old residence, the very heart of Belgrade, Robna Kuća Beograd, Knez Mihailova Street 5.
Under this year’s slogan ”Life Form”, the audience will have the opportunity to learn about math, about its various puzzles and beauties, and not only to learn and to have fun, but also to participate actively.
The Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Srđan Verbić ceremoniously opened the event.
”I thank CPN for allowing us to show the passion we possess, and I also thank the Mathematical Institute, for making math understandable to children”, said the Minister, while opening the event, which will last until May 31.
Besides the Minister, Zoran Marković, Director of the Mathematical Institute and Aleksadra Drecun, Director of CPN, also made their introductory speeches.
With this year’s M3, CPN is presenting a whole new horizon of the culture of science. The CPN’s Science Club, host of numerous mathematical lectures, panels, conferences and movie programs, is located two floors above the exhibition.
This year’s exhibition will feature mathematicians, science promoters and esteemed visitors, but also various works of famous designers and illustrators.
The supporter of the biggest event, which promotes popular science in Serbia, is once again, the Director of SASA, Nikola Hajdin. The special guest of the third M3 is Franci Demsar, Vice President of the European Science Foundation (ESF).
