Based upon the Serbian Government’s Decision, Science Day in Serbia is celebrated on 10 July every year. This event is linked to the birthday of the famous Serbian American inventor Nikola Tesla (1856-1943), who was born on 10 July in Gospić, Croatia.
CPN dedicated the first event in 2011 to introducing young Serbian scientists to the public, and since then CPN has been actively celebrating this day every year. Until now, we have organized science camps, lectures by renowned Serbian scientists, robotic competitions, scientific researches, popular science workshops, film screenings and night sky observations.
Science Clubs in Serbia have also been regularly celebrating this day with various popular science events since their launch. Check out the CPN’s Science Day website for this year’s programme and join us in celebrating science in Serbia.
