One of the first events, organized at the Science Club, attracted 120 visitors, who were eager to get advice from a renowned Silicon Valley entrepreneur John Ramey[:]
During his visit, John Ramey gave a lecture, where he explained to all young entrepreneurs willing to start their own IT company, the basic steps required to succeed in the business: How to start a successful IT company, how and when to sell it, what is the most efficient way to use the company’s time, once you just started it, and many other helpful tips.
This was the fourth gathering of start-up entrepreneurs and it took place on April 14, at the CPN Science Club.
StartLabs Tech Accelerators organized the gathering, with the support of CPN. The meeting was one of the first events at the CPN Science Club, a unique facility, which will officially be opened during the manifestation ”May, Month of Mathematics”.
A hundred and twenty young start up entrepreneurs interested in starting their own IT company attended the meeting to get the answers to as many important questions as possible from Ramey.
What made this seemingly ordinary event memorable was the overall atmosphere in the room, the enthusiasm and a passionate discussion.
After a short introduction, Ramey spent two and a half hours talking to the entrepreneurs from Belgrade. He answered their questions about how to start and organize a business, how to get investment money and how to face the market challenges.
The gathering marked the beginning of the cooperation between CPN and StartLabs Tech Accelerators. The CPN Science Club will be the host of many similar events to come in the future.
Apart from that, the entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to attend an open meeting, organized by StartLabs, and hear the lectures of renowned world businessmen, and consult about all the processes regarding the start-up of their own business.
At the end of last year, StarLabs joined the Lean Start-up Circle movement, which deals with supporting various start-up projects, and therefore, they established a group in Belgrade, with the aim to encourage local entrepreneurs to educate themselves and participate in the exchange of the experience.
